Michael's experience as a non-executive director of ASX listed companies spans more than 20 years across a broad range of industries (financial services, tourism, logistics, property, resources, and retailing).

He has extensive experience in finance and investments in both executive and board roles, with current board positions including Chairman of Adairs and as Non- Executive Director of Total Tools Holdings Limited.

Michael's previous positions included board roles as Chairman at AMP Superannuation Limited, Ausdoc Group Limited, Freightways Express Limited Hamilton Island Limited and as a Non-Executive Director at AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited, Ayers Rock Resort, APN Property Group Limited, Metcash Limited, Ticor Limited, Baxter Group Limited and Utilities Services Group Limited. From 1983-1997 Michael was head of Corporate Finance in Melbourne at Bankers Trust and from 1997-1999 was head of BT Capital Partners (Bankers Trust's private equity arm).

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Adelaide, and holds an MBA from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Trent Peterson

Trent is joint managing director of Catalyst Investment Managers, an Australian mid-market private equity firm based in Sydney. Trent is also a founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Direct Capital Management, and IPMB Capital Partners, which are boutique investment advisory firms.

Trent was Chairman of the Board of the Company from 2010 until the IPO in 2015, being the period of Catalyst’s majority ownership.

In addition to Adairs, Trent is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Cirrus Media and SkyBus. Trent is also a Non-Executive Director of Shaver Shop Limited (ASX: SSG), Dusk, Mr Vitamins, and Max Fashions in New Zealand.

He is a former Director of Global Television, EziBuy, Metro GlassTech, Moraitis Group, Taverner Hotel Group, Australian Discount Retail and Just Group.

Trent has over 17 years investment and private equity experience, focussed primarily on business operating in consumer, retail and media sectors. Trent was qualified as a Chartered Accountant and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Kate Spargo

Kate has been an independent company director for 20 years, covering listed and unlisted companies in a variety of sectors including infrastructure, construction and engineering, energy, financial services, building product manufacture and distribution, and health services.

Kate has broad commercial and organisational experience, as well as a focus on risk, audit and governance, supported by her legal background in both government law and private practice.

Her current board positions include Director of Sonic Healthcare, Sigma Healthcare, CIMIC, Xenith IP. She is also a Director of the CoInvest board and the Geelong Football Club.

Previous board positions have included Pacific Hydro, Fulton Hogan, IOOF, Transfield Services Infrastructure, Fletcher Building, SMEC a consulting engineering business operating in around 50 countries, UGL and AEMO.

Kate graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) with honours and Bachelor of Arts. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

David MacLean

David MacLean

Non-Executive Director

David is currently non-executive Director and shareholder of Adairs Limited and Dusk Australia. David also hold minority interests in other private retail businesses and now runs his family investment office.

David was formerly the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Adairs for 14 years from 2002-2016, previously holding the role of General Manger from 1989-2002.

Prior to this, David held the position of Director of Buying at David Jones Melbourne.

The MacLean family was the majority shareholder of Adairs until 2007.

Kiera Grant

Kiera Grant has extensive board and senior management experience, having spent 15 years working in Equity Capital Markets. She brings strong financial, strategic and capital market experience across a range of industries, including retail (Non-Executive Director on the Board of Pacific Brands).

Kiera is a Non-Executive Director of Future Generation Global, Samuel Smith and Sons, (incorporating Yalumba Wine Company and Negociants Distribution) and the Sydney Dance Company. She is Trustee on the Art Gallery of NSW Foundation Board.

Simon West

Simon West

Independent Non-Executive Director

Simon West has a broad background in retail and technology businesses with almost 20 years’ experience as a CEO and Non-Executive Director, having recently held CEO roles at clothing retailer Max Fashions, EziBuy and the Australian ecommerce website DealsDirect.com.au. He is currently a Director of Onceit (online fashion); Trademe (online classifieds and marketplace) and currently provides advisory services to retail in the direct to consumer space.

Mark was appointed CEO in November 2016. Mark joined Adairs in 2007 and over this time led finance, merchandise planning and retail operations before being appointed COO in 2014.

Mark was previously Finance and Operations Manager with the Sovereign Hotel Group, Financial Controller at River Capital and Manager at Deloitte.

Mark is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Michael has been a member of the board since 2010, and a key member of the executive team for the last 20 years.

Michael's appointment to the newly created role of Executive Director of Property and Business Development will enhance the Company's capacity to pursue its accelerated store rollout programme in Australia and New Zealand.

Michael was appointed CFO in 1996 and has over 19 years' experience in the retail sector. He became a shareholder in 1999.

Michael's previous finance roles were at National Australia Bank and Bankwest.

Michael graduated from Curtin University in Western Australia with a Bachelor of Business.

Fay Hatzis

Fay Hatzis the current Financial Controller was appointed Company Secretary in June 2019.

Fay joined Adairs in July 2012 as Finance Manager and has seen the company through the initial IPO following a period of significant company growth.

Prior to this Fay worked in the accounting profession as Senior Manager at Grant Thornton and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Jenny Hides

General Manager of Product and Design

Jenny was appointed General Manager of Product and Design after joining Adairs in 2011.

Jenny was previously General Manager of Merchandise at the Just Group, where she has also held roles including Womenswear Controller and Women's Jeans Product Manager of Just Jeans. Other prior roles include Merchandise Manager for Westco and Merchandise Manager for Glassons.

Paul Randall

General Manager of Retail Operations

Paul was appointed General Manager of Retail Operations after joining Adairs in 2014.

Paul has previously held numerous managerial roles with Just Group, including National Sales Manager of Jay Jays, General Manager of Retail with Jacqui E and Commercial Manager of Peter Alexander.

Alexandra Christopher

and eCommerce

Alexandra was appointed General Manager of Marketing, eCommerce and New Business Development in 2018. Alexandra holds an extensive background in retail, across domestic and international markets. Preceding Adairs she was at Just Group for five years, and responsible for strategy development and implementation of new customer initiatives across all brands. She was a core membership of the leadership team that consistently delivered online and multi-channel growth ahead of the market. Prior to this, Alexandra has also held marketing and eCommerce leadership positions with David Jones and Liberty of London.

Alexandra graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Business.
